What is the difference between AWARENESS and WITNESSING?
The Stages Of A Spiritual Journey :
From Unconsciousness To Consciousness ,
From Consciousness To WITNESSING ,
FROM WITNESSING TO AWARENESS
QUESTION: What is the difference between AWARENESS and WITNESSING?
OSHO:
“There is much difference between awareness and witnessing. Witnessing is still an act; you are doing it, the ego is there. So the phenomenon of witnessing is divided between the subject and the object.
Witnessing is a relationship between subject and object. Awareness is absolutely devoid of any subjectivity or objectivity. There is no one who is witnessing in awareness; there is no one who is being witnessed. Awareness is a total act, integrated; the subject and the object are not related in it; they are dissolved. So awareness doesn’t mean that anyone is aware, nor does it mean that anything is being attended to.
Peace
“There are three ways in which consciousness can flow into what you do and thus through you into this world…The modalities of awakened doing are acceptance, enjoyment, and enthusiasm…If you are not in the state of either acceptance, enjoyment, or enthusiasm, look closely and you will find that you are creating suffering for yourself and others.”
~ Eckhart Tolle
Is Success About Learning—Or Proving You Are Smart?
Focus on Teachings not Teachers
There are a lot of people that present themselves as gurus, and that has nothing to do with whether they’re gurus or not, in the real sense of the term ‘guru.’
The difference is that a teacher points the way; the guru is the way. Continue reading
focus on our actions, our effort, our hustle, rather than the results
Strive to continue forward, but always concentrate on the action at hand, making it most effective. Do not mar your action by concentration on the success or future results of the action. You must learn to choose actions to fulfil your obligations and not merely to gain immediate success or failure. Your business is with your duty only, never with the reward or merit accruing from it. Let not the fruit of action entangle you in your actions.
Many of the biggest transformations come when you think that you’re just trying to reestablish the status quo
Why develop an attitude of superiority or inferiority?

The Mountain And The Squirrel
The mountain and the squirrel
Had a quarrel,
And the former called the latter
“Little prig.”
Bun replied,
“You are doubtless very big;
But all sorts of things and weather
Must be taken in together
To make up a year
And a sphere.
And I think it no disgrace
To occupy my place.
If I’m not so large as you,
You are not so small as I,
And not half so spry:
I’ll not deny you make
A very pretty squirrel track.
Talents differ; all is well and wisely put;
If I cannot carry forests on my back,
Neither can you crack a nut.”

With all its strength the mountain cannot crack a nut. While the squirrel can with ease crack a nut but cannot manage to carry even a stone on its back. Such is the world. Constituted of diverse talents. Why develop an attitude of superiority or inferiority?
….arrogant claim to superiority is as absurd as a despondent feeling of inferiority….
Everyone has a distinct place and purpose in this world. None is big or small

Book Recommendation: Inward Revolution: Bringing About Radical Change in the World – J. Krishnamurti

“You can see what is happening. There is violence even though religions have said not to kill, not to go to war, not to hurt another, to be kind, generous, tender, to open your heart to others.
Books have said it, so the books have no value at all. What is relevant is what you are. The fact is that the world is you, not as a theory but in actuality; the world, the community, the society, the culture in which you have been brought up have been built through time by man. You are the result of that, and to bring about a change in the outward structure of the established corrupt order, one must change oneself inwardly completely. This is a logical, sane, observable fact.”
