Knowledge vs Knowing
Religion is not knowledge, it is knowing. Knowledge is of the mind, knowing is of the being, and the difference and the distance, is tremendously vast.
The difference is not only quantitative, it is also qualitative.

Peaceful Music – Prem Joshua
“Multi-instrumentalist and composer Prem Joshua is a pioneer in the field of World Music, exploring and creating a new synthesis in sound which takes us beyond the borders of both East and West.
Haunting melodies on the sitar, bamboo flute and soprano sax soar over driving tabla rhythms – ancient Sanskrit and Sufi poems are re-awakened by captivating songs and chants. And while drawing inspiration from these deep wells of the musical traditions of the East, Joshua has never lost touch with the pulse of contemporary Western music. Over the years he has continued to refine his awesome talent for fusion, mixing meditative classical Indian ragas with highly energetic compositions, modern cutting-edge sounds and grooves, to create a music both distinctive and unique.”
“I was a natural rebel and I was very against this whole sannyasin path, I hated anything that looked like a cult. But I wanted to find out what it was all about. So I went to one discourse. Before, my head was telling me to stay aloof, to stay judgmental, but as soon as Osho walked in I started crying. It was beyond my head, it was in my heart. And the love affair with the master started there; it′s still there.”
“I used to play for Osho every day, he encouraged me to play Indian music, the sitar, the bamboo flute. We would spend a whole day creating a new piece for him. It was not performing, it was like a big wave of love expressed through music. It was unbelievable.”– Prem Joshua
Are you experimenting with my teachings, or are you experimenting with yourself?
Are you experimenting with my teachings, or are you experimenting with yourself? I hope you see the difference. If you are experimenting with what I am saying, then you must come to, “What now?” because then you are trying to achieve a result which you think I have. You think I have something which you do not have, and that if you experiment with what I am saying, you also will get it—which is what most of us do. Continue reading
Book of the Month : The Heart Sutra: Becoming a Buddha through Meditation
In this series of talks, Osho introduces his audience to Gautama the Buddha and his great contribution to the development of human consciousness and the science of meditation. Each talk examines an excerpt from the classic Buddhist text known as the “Heart Sutra.”
With his unique ability to translate ancient and often obscure language into fresh and contemporary terms, Osho brings Buddha’s teachings to life and shows how they are even more relevant today than they were in Buddha’s time. His responses to questions from the audience further illuminate the ways in which Buddha’s message of pure awareness can inform and enrich every aspect of our everyday lives. Continue reading
From being a Creation to becoming a Creator
The basic rule is that we focus on what we have repressed…
The real source of “stress” is actually internal; it is not external, as people would like to believe. The readiness to react with fear, for instance, depends on how much fear is already present within to be triggered by a stimulus. The more fear we have on the inside, the more our perception of the world is changed to a fearful, guarded expectancy. To the fearful person, this world is a terrifying place. Continue reading
Insight is enough
You have to see what I am saying, you are not to learn what I am saying. Here, sitting with me every day, listening to me, don’t start collecting knowledge. Here, listening to me, don’t start hoarding. Listening to me should be an experiment in insight. You should listen with intensity, with totality, with as much awareness as is possible for you. In that very awareness you will see a point, and that very seeing is transformation. Continue reading
man is a budding buddha
There is a very famous saying of Emerson: “Man is a God in ruins.” I agree and I disagree. The insight has some truth in it – man is not as he should be. The insight is there but a little upside down. Continue reading
