A collection of profound ideas from one of the great spiritual thinkers of our generation.

In this authoritative work, readers will be brought to higher levels of awareness, control, and understanding. This book includes ten volumes of Dr. Hawkins’s core teachings that are most beneficial and relevant to today’s world, including his Map of Consciousness calibration process.

The Wisdom of Dr. David R. Hawkins also includes one of Dr. Hawkins’s last lectures on the most valuable qualities for a spiritual seeker.

People always say, “What can I do about the world?” Ramana Maharshi says the world you see doesn’t even exist. It’s actually just your perception of the world. You think the world needs you, but it needs you like a hole in the head, actually. Each person’s evolution contributes to the level of the sea; each person, by making your life a prayer. When I give sermons occasionally, the sermon is always about converting your life into a prayer. Become that about which you talk and learn and read and sing hymns—become that. Because by being that, just your existence already transforms the world. Each one of us raises the level of the sea not by what we do and say, but by what we have become. The great kings and emperors and conquerors have come and gone. They’ve all come and gone and made all kinds of waves. And what did that do? Nothing. You realize it has nothing to do with your perception, nothing to do with your judgmentalism.

Enlightenment

“Enlightenment is not something that occurs in the future, after 50 years of sitting cross-legged and saying “OM.” It is right here, in this instant. The reason you’re not experiencing this state of total peace and timelessness is because it is being resisted. It is being resisted because you are trying to control the moment. If you let go of trying to control your experience of the moment, and if you constantly surrender it like a tone of music, then you live on the crest of this exact always-ness. Experience arises like a note of music. The minute you hear a note, it’s already passing away. The instant you’ve heard it, it’s already dissolving. So every single moment is dissolving as it arises. Let go of anticipating the next moment, trying to control it, trying to hang on to the moment that has just passed. Let go clinging to what has just occurred. Let go trying to control what you think is about to occur. Then you live in an infinite space of non-time and non-event. There is an infinite peace beyond description. And you are home.”

relinquish the desire to be ‘right’ or of imaginary value to society…

With humility comes the willingness to stop trying to control or change other people or life situations or events ostensibly ‘for their own good’. To be a committed spiritual seeker, it is necessary to relinquish the desire to be ‘right’ or of imaginary value to society. In fact, nobody’s ego or belief systems is of any value to society at all. The world is neither good nor bad nor defective, nor is it in need of help or modification because its appearance is only a projection of one’s own mind. No such world exists.

An accessible exploration of best-selling author’s most famous work, The Map of Consciousness, that helps readers experience healing and transcendence.

The Map of Consciousness Explained is an essential primer on the late Dr. David R. Hawkins’s teachings on human consciousness and their associated energy fields.
Using muscle testing, Dr. Hawkins conducted more than 250,000 calibrations during 20 years of research to define a range of values, attitudes, and emotions that correspond to levels of consciousness. This range of values–along with a logarithmic scale of 1 to 1,000–became the Map of Consciousness, which Dr. Hawkins first wrote about in his New York Times bestseller, Power vs. Force.
In this book, readers will gain an introduction and deeper understanding of the Map, with visual charts and practical applications to help them heal, recover, and evolve to higher levels of consciousness and energy.

Be in the world but not of it…..

To be surrendered means to have no strong emotion about a thing: “It’s okay if it happens, and it’s okay if it doesn’t.” When we are free, there is a letting go of attachments. We can enjoy a thing, but we don’t need it for our happiness. There is progressive diminishing of dependence on anything or anyone outside of ourselves. These principles are in accord with the basic teaching of the Buddha to avoid attachment to worldly phenomena, as well as the basic teaching of Jesus Christ to “be in the world but not of it.”

Above all else I want to see differently

Letting go involves being aware of a feeling, letting it come up, staying with it, and letting it run its course without wanting to make it different or do anything about it. It means simply to let the feeling be there and to focus on letting out the energy behind it

The first step is to allow yourself to have the feeling without resisting it, venting it, fearing it, condemning it, or moralizing about it. It means to drop judgment and to see that it is just a feeling.

Inner capacity for Bravery and Fortitude that greatly increases Self-esteem and Confidence

Image result for self-confidenceThe critical key to moving into the strength of courage is the acceptance of personal responsibility and accountability. This major move requires relinquishment of a victim/perpetrator dualistic fallacy that socially undermines integrity via blame and excuses based on dualistic, moral, and social relativistic fallacies and theories by which an external ‘cause’ or social condition replaces integrous personal autonomy and self-honesty. …… Continue reading
